About Bang Len

With its rural farms crisscrossed by canals and rivers, Bang Len makes a picturesque stop en route between Bangkok and the Death Railway at Kanchanaburi. It offers authentic experiences in its traditional villages and markets, as well as being home to one of the most attractive golf courses in Nakhon Pathom.

Things to do in Bang Len

Don’t miss a visit to the Wat Lampaya Floating Market, which lies in front of the Lampaya Temple along the Tha Chin River, just to the south of Bang Len. It’s an important trade hub for fruit and vegetable growers in the surrounding rural villages, with a range of rattan ware and colourful textiles available for purchase.

Grab a bite to eat from one of the boat-based food vendors, with steamed fish patties and beef noodles among the local specialties. Then take a cruise through the surrounding canals on one of the traditional longtail boats to soak up the tranquil village life.

Bang Len makes a good base for visiting the village of Thai Soang, home to an ethnic minority that has retained their unique cultural traditions. Take the opportunity to meet the Thai Soang people who traditionally dress in black and purchase their beautifully made woven handicrafts.

Fancy a round of golf? Head to the 18-hole, par 72 course at the Dynasty Golf and Country Club, situated a short 10-minute drive from Bang Len. It was designed by world-class golfing architect Denis Griffith and is renowned for its blooming flowers that fragrance the course throughout the year.
