For the second year in a row, London took the lion’s share of the awards with The Langham, The Savoy, St. Ermin’s Hotel and the Sofitel St. James all once again making the list. Edinburgh’s serviced apartments, The Knight Residence, also had the honour of snagging back-to-back accolades.
The HotelsCombined ‘Stellar Stays’ is not a ranking list but a group of outstanding accommodation judged on a strict set of criteria. In order to be considered a ‘Stellar Stay’, properties must meet the following criteria:
- At the time of judging they are rated 9.0 or over with a minimum of 250 customer reviews on the HotelsCombined site
- They have a significant community or environmental program in place
- The property must have received at least three major industry awards throughout the year.
These hotels not only boast a high satisfaction rating among guests and travel industry experts, but also strive to make a positive difference with dedicated environmental and community initiatives.
The Stellar Stay awards are designed to zero in on true-value accommodation experiences, regardless of star rating, property type or price point. From major international hotel brands to cosy B&Bs, the winners this year all have one very important thing in common – an all-encompassing commitment to excellence.
