lovely natural setting in Yala . Property is beautifully presented . The waiting staff were particularly lovely , especially our waiter from Galle who had been to university for a hospitality degree( unfortunately can’t remember his name )
This was my second visit so I recommended it to bring my family . I was very disappointed on arrival that there was construction work going on to repair the roof and rooftop lounge ( which is a highlight) The constellation trip had been cancelled. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle, very pretty and special ant the stuff is very nice.
The shower wasn’t very clean
If you want to experience wildlife at your fingers tips I would highly recommend this place ! We had the most enjoyable two night stay. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like some hotels in the inland but the nature and wild life sure make up for it.

This hotel is well-located for visiting the Yala National Park. The room we had was a beach-facing chalet which was very comfortable, spacious and private. In the middle of nature. The swimming pool area is great for relaxing whilst looking at the lake for wildlife. We saw an elephant, crocodiles, snakes, water buffalo and lovely birds. Saw lots of animals whilst at the property. Very friendly and helpful staff, even by Sri Lanka’s very high standards. Good English throughout as well which helped. They provide their own safari trips - very handy! Tree top room was unique but also felt premium
It is quite isolated which is to be expected. As a consequence it was more expensive for lunches / water etc. but the quality of food was very high and staff did give us some extra water for free which was great!
The hotel is situated near Yala national park surrounded by nature. We thorougly enjoyed our stay - we also managed to see several animals at the hotel territory. Our bungalow was nice and spacious with a very comfortable king bed.
