Where massive sandstone cliffs meet creamy pink peaks, Zion National Park is one of Utah’s most historic national parks. Its vast wilderness and narrow slot canyons serve as idyllic locations for backpacking, camping, climbing and canyoneering.
Go for a hike along the East Rim, less than 18 kilometres from the East Entrance Trailhead to the Weeping Rim Trailhead. Enjoy unsurpassed views of Jolley Gulch and Echo Canyon and enjoy a shaded stretch of scenic trails through ponderosa forest.
Try your hand at canyoneering into the Narrows above the Temple of Sinawava or join a guided horseback riding trip with Canyon Trail Rides. If you want to cool off, you can go rafting or kayaking through the Narrows. Prefer to see the sights on two wheels? Go bicycling along the Pa'rus Trail or Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.
Getting there
McCarran International Airport is the nearest major airport, located about a three-hour drive from Zion National Park. The easiest way to the park is by car.
