Surin Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket, Thailand bordered by the Laem Singh and Pansea Beaches. This pristine area of crystal blue water and expanses of white sand makes for one of the most exclusive tourist destinations in the country, often referred to as “millionaires row” due to the high concentration of affluent seasonal residents.
The most popular activities on Surin Beach include snorkelling around the headland, surfing the beach break, or kayaking between Surin and Laem Sing Beaches. Speed boat and jet ski opportunities present additional utility to the more adventurous visitors. There is a variety of restaurants boasting Thai and seafood delicacies as well as boutique shopping along Plaza Surin.
Surin Beach is situated a 20-minute drive by car from the nearby Phuket Airport. Taxis, songthaews, and tuk-tuks are the most common means of transit to the area. Songthaews routing from Ranong Road in Phuket Town are the fastest way to get there. Walking is the most convenient transportation method around Surin Beach.
A massive army-initiated beach clean-up in 2016 called for the removal of most of the commercial buildings along the sands of Surin. The major commercial changes in the area resulted in a quieter, relaxing beachfront as opposed to the busier area of nearby Patong.
