Things to do in Coogee
Enjoy a leisurely stroll along Coogee’s waterfront promenade or explore the surrounding cliffs on the spectacular Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk. In addition to Wylie’s Baths, Coogee is home to Australia’s last remaining women’s and children’s ocean bath, McIvers Baths, which are particularly popular with families.
Just around the headland north of Coogee Beach is Gordon’s Bay, which is renowned for its abundant marine life. You can explore its underwater landscapes while snorkelling or scuba diving on the 620-metre-long Gordon’s Bay Underwater Nature Trail. Coogee is clustered with cafes where you can soak up the suburb’s laid-back coastal lifestyle, including Barzura and the Little Kitchen. Coogee is around 20 minutes’ drive from Sydney’s CBD and 25 minutes from Sydney Airport, which has flights to destinations across the globe. Buses connect to Coogee and travel throughout the suburb while walking trails hug the headlands to the north and south.
