Things to do in Chêne-Bougeries
Explore the shops and restaurants around Rue de Geneve and Rue du Gothard, particularly Restaurant Laï Thaï, which serves delicious Thai cuisine, and Le restaurant de Philomène that is known for its cocktails. If you enjoy admiring historic architecture, don’t miss the Temple of Chêne Bougeries, which was built in 1758 and has an adjoining cemetery and park. Don’t forget to visit the nearby city of Geneva, which is under five kilometres away. While you’re there, explore the iconic Tour de l'Ile SA and the 19th-century Cité du Temps SA on the scenic Rhone river, which are now used for art exhibitions and live events.
Getting around Chêne-Bougeries
Chene-Bougeries is about 20 minutes’ drive from Genève Aéroport, which has flights from around the globe. The city is connected to Geneva by trains and buses, but can be explored on foot in certain areas. You can also use taxis or a hire car to explore the surrounding region.
