Things to do in Brinchang
Embrace the region’s natural landscapes at the 2,110-metre-high Mount Irau, where you can hike through the mossy forest and misty clouds while admiring rare nepenthes and rafflesia plants. If you want something more relaxed, stroll through the Cameron Lavender Garden, home to colourful flowers, an ice-cream parlour and gift shop. It’s a short drive from the Cameron Highland Butterfly Farm, which boasts butterflies, reptiles and amphibians.
Discover rich Malay history at the Time Tunnel memorabilia museum, the first of its kind in the country. Inside, you can see thousands of fascinating collectable and artefacts from decades of local and national history. Learn about honey production at Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm, which also boasts a fun maze, tranquil garden and gift shop. Getting around Brinchang
Brinchang is easily reached via car on the Federal Route (59), which is the highest drivable road in Malaysia. If you fly into Kuala Lumpur, expect to drive about three hours. Once you’re there, the best way to get around is with your own vehicle.
