If you’re interested in wool, browse the hand-dyed and handspun wools for knitting and crocheting at The House of Wool. You can also attend regular workshops on knitting, spinning, weaving and crocheting.
Start your immersive Blue Mountains experience at the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre, which showcases European and Aboriginal history throughout the region. Afterwards, tackle one of the many walking trails through Blue Mountains National Park, such as Pulpit Walking Track, which reveals waterfalls, swamps, native animals and mesmerising views over the isolated Pulpit Rock pinnacle.
Want to stargaze at night? Head to Hargraves Lookout, about 15 minutes’ drive away, on a clear night to see the Milky Way galaxy and numerous constellations. Getting around Blackheath
Blackheath is under two hours’ drive from Sydney along the Great Western Highway. You can easily walk around the compact town centre, but it’s more convenient to have your own vehicle to see attractions further afield.
