Good facility, clean, nice pool. We had 2 queen beds and one of them was made with the sheet only covering half the mattress, pretty poor job by the cleaning staff. The rest of the experience was very good.
We weren't informed there would be remodeling done on a unite next to our room. There was debris, building material, removed carper/pads on the front of our room we had to step over. Not to mention listening to the chop saw being used constantly outside our door : ( ... Other than that our stay was pleasant once we got used to this annoying fact. I told the office of my concerns and they only explained why it was necessary to remodel that particular room, I was hoping they would relocate us but we were never offered that option, although we noticed there were plenty of rooms available in other locations of the Travelodge. In spite of the inconvenience of the noise and hazards outside our door, I was pleased with the continental breakfasts offered, it was more than coffee and a donut : ) ... Coffee, tea, hot water for hot cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, cream cheese, fresh fruit, and a very pleasant food director/provider... Would I stay there again? I must be honest and say yes, the basics of what was provided was excellent. Incidentally, I stay in Monterey at least twice a year for fishing trips and a little get away with my wife and son, and I know I will return to Monterey as usual and will keep Monterey Bay Travelodge in mind.
