I am afraid it was not upto the level of a 5 star hotel. the gentleman checking me in was good; however, despite (a) the fact that the hotel seemed to have professional crews each with specific tasks/areas they are supposed to be covering and (b) the fact that they are a 5 star hotel... 1) the staff guiding me towards the concierge, guided me to an empty concierge desk that was closed for renovation, 2) when I finally reached the concierge, the young gentleman gave me 2 maps (1 was the Hotel Manila map and the other was a direction map he printed from his computer); both maps were supposed to guide me to a restaurant he was recommending; however, unfortunately, the 2 maps were pointing at 2 completely different locations. Lastly, when I went to have my breakfast the next morning, I was sent back to my room to change from flip flops to shoes; I go back to my room, wear socks, pull out my shoes from my suitcase, and go back to the breakfast place. Once I am inside the breakfast place, there are people here and there with flip flops and there are more people with flip flops let in to have breakfast. So, I ask the waitress why I was asked to go back to change, but they are allowing others to come in with flip flops, and their answer is 'they just walked in'...
