the hotel room and the staff were excellent, although the pool was filthy. I would say that it hadn't been cleaned for at least a week. It was disgraceful actually, considering all other aspects of the hotel were fantastic. It is very important to me that when I'm traveling, it is IMOERATIVE to have a nice, fresh, clean pool. also, the poolside tables were all damaged and cracked, the seats and loungers had seen better days and there were cigarette butts stubbed out in the stones under the palm trees. it looked like nobody had cleaned it for a week. I was doing a roadtrip and had stayed at lots of hotels and this was by far, the worst pool of my trip. Unacceptable. Therefore, I am not sure how to score this. The pool is a huge part of my overall experience. The room was lovely and big and very clean, and the breakfast was superb. So, apart from the pool, it was excellent and therefore have not marked it excellent, but good.
