Ideal location as we attended Riverfire. A short stroll through the gorgeous Botanic Gardens to the shore where we wandered to Eagle Street Pier to watch the fireworks. Ideal for wary travellers, the Hotel has a taxi rank at the front of the building. We walked to the Myer Centre, which was about 10 minutes. You will find Seven Eleven, Domino's and lots of food outlets about 500 metres from the front door of the Hotel. The Hotel decore' is quant, classic and themed luxury embracing Brisbane's aristocratic history to a degree. Our room was situated on the balcony and I think double glazed floor to ceiling windows allowed in plenty of light and views of the Botanic Gardens. (There are block out curtains) The room was relatively sound proof. The beds were comfortable, clean white crisp sheets and decent pillows made for a good night sleep for all. The bathroom was functional, although a little bit dated with an over bath shower with massaging shower head. Decent size TV and WiFi were very much appreciated. The room also provides a jug, bar fridge and coffee machine all well serviced. We are a family of four, this room was big enough for us all to live in for the two nights as we were out each day. Airconditioning made for a comfortable nights sleep. This Hotel has a decent size clean pool, and decent size spa with extra towels available at the pool area. Check in was easy, we booked on line and despite being almost two hours late, reception were professional, polite and welcoming. Car parking on site cost $33 and was very much appreciated. We have travelled extensively as a family, we will definately be coming back just because of the location, the pool, the spa and comfortable beds. Highly recommend for families.
