The location is the best things about this hotel. Taksim square is 3 minutes walk away. But I stayed in hotels across Turkey and Istanbul many times, including 2 right on the same street as Q Pera. This was the worst. I will list a few things: - moldy walls and ceilings in the bathrooms. Flakes of moldy old paint would fall on our head when showering. - extremely dirty toilet and sink (blood and pee tracks top to bottom, sink yellow with old dirt, disgusting) - no room cleaning at all. Nobody entered our room to clean it or to take the trash out or change sheets for 5 days. Not even once. Not even a question if we needed anything. Even if the room cleaning were for an extra fee, we could have been offered the service. But no. Nothing. - The worst beds I ever slept in. The mattresses were filthy and stained and stinky and were so old and worn-in that they had the shape of a bowl. My husband and I would roll into the middle however hard we tried to cling on to the sides. Oh, and there were springs coming out of the mattress too! - The bed was Queen size, but the duvet was tiny, not even covering the bed, more like a single duvet. Ridiculous. - The room had a mini fridge with a window and a permanent bright light illuminating the room at night. We had to cover it with clothes so we could fall asleep. Inside it was moldy and looked like it had never been cleaned. - the room had a hanger rail in a cupboard and no shelves whatsoever. There were only 4 hangers. For a double room with no shelves and no space to put your clothes on or even your suitcase. We asked for extra hangers, at least. They never came. - wi-fi was very slow, got cut off frequently and at 10pm they switched it off completely every night. - Breakfast was a joke. We had to beg every morning for water, milk and coffee and in the end make it ourselves. Food was mediocre. The staff took ages to bring water or milk, but at 10 sharp they tried to take our plates and mugs away while still eating.
