Clean, and decent place, I may say
This place is brand-new and right next to Exit #1 of Cheinggyesan subway station. If you are looking for light hiking into the mountain or fresh air near downtown Seoul, this is a good place to stay. Room condition was clean and amanities were good. The breakfast was a typical continental style. Coffee is served via automated machine. Latte tastes aweful. Recommends black. I was planning on giving a top rating for this place. But as you see, the grade is only 7. The hiccup was on the thin walls. There was a soccer game on and our neighbor screamed at every move his team made. It was 2am. The problem was even worse on service team. After I made a call to the front office, they sent in security personnel to my floor. I could hear them talking over the thin walls. My neighbor practically yelled at his company to “keep quiet”. The front office called me back, which I do not understand why they did cuz I clearly mentioned “we were waken up by the noise”. They told me our neighbor was warned but they were “very frustrated” about the notice. Why would I need that info at 2am after being startled to wake up by the noise next door?? I asked about it in the morning and they could not even understand what I was not happy about. This place is new but they have been often over 6 months. I asked about the mattress they were using and the staff did not know. Considering these 2 episodes, staffs need some training. On a side-note, they have good sauna facility and will give u a good discount if u stay the night. The pool is on the top floor but they do not contol entrance. The pool was only 1 lane and there were nearly 20 kids. Not recommend during daytime if in summer.
