Great little hostel/hotel (both dorm and private rooms available) with modern public spaces. We had a large private room - very minimalistic but fine for our needs. Liked the Japanese futon bedding and appreciated the shared toilet on the upper level where the private rooms are located. There is another shared toilet downstairs, along with 3 showers, which were really clean and great shower pressure! The property has a kitchen, where you can store and prepare food, or there is a really cool bar/restaurant that serves coffee, lunch and dinner. We ate there one night and the food was pretty good. You're about a 5min walk to the station, short bike ride down to the lake and close to numerous restaurants. Front desk was super helpful in making onsen bookings, figuring out bus times, etc.
