This was our first visit , we had a delayed flight and our check in was underwhelming. I have had a lot nicer and friendlier check ins at small town hotels! Feeling as though we had to ask our way around we didn't have much luck as the waiters and room staff were friendly but hardly understood English. Disappointing our suite with a balcony view looked straight onto the highway through the palm trees. They did offer another room but the view wasn't much better. The suite though was beautiful and enjoyable. We had to rush to get to the spa and pool treatment which shut at 5.30pm. Make sure you visit the indoor pool downstairs- you have to book a time to limit numbers which keeps it peaceful and well worth it. We asked when the outdoor pool shut , to be told sunset or around then? (appx 7pm) Most other hotels have their pool open until 9-10pm. We were amazed when we came down around 7pm for a cocktail by the pool to find out no dinner or drinks by the pool at night time. What a wasted oppotunity especially as it was warm enough. We went to the inside bar and things picked up then, lovely staff and a great 3 peice live music. Thankfully the morning restored our excitement. Breakfast was amazing with a lovely table looking over the pool. The sun shining through, everything looked beautiful., loved the fresh flowers. Staff were friendly and helpful, the Concierge went out of his way to help us with booking plans and info. I can see why people thought the staff were rude but really I think a bit more training and undertanding would help. The decor was gorgeous and we are looking forward to returning to an apartment with our own pool where hopefully we can swim for longer !
