I was travelling as a single parent, mother and 12 years old daughter. we were given certainly the room most further away, and the worst one - just at the back of the Luau so very noisy at night At night walking to diner or coming back we would cross Cockroachs in the hallway to our room. I stayed there a few years ago and was treated completely different but all our stays on this trip were bad - clearly single mums dont deserve to stay in a decent room as it was the same with all 3 different hotels we stayed at in Hawaii When I asked the concierge for the welcome pack and if I could organise some activities I was given a liflet and sent on my way. I ask if she was busy and should come back later to book and she said all is on the liflet. The edge of the pool was quite dirty - rat poo under and around pool chairs, pool towels were very tired and looked dirty. Not a 5stars standard. I know so because through my work I stay in 5stars hotels almost weekly
