My wife and I had a very good eight night stay at Hotel Roma. The room was large, with a sofa bed in a side room. The biggest problem for us was the bed. It comprised two single beds with single duvets and a double bedspread covering it. The mattresses were as hard as the floor and we didn’t sleep at all well. After the second night I found a spare duvet in a cupboard and we ended up sleeping on top of all the duvets and using the bedspread to cover us. This improved the situation but was still far from ideal. There was a tv in the room but the only channels available were of no interest, being such things as foreign speaking news channels and business and finance channels. We’ve never before stayed in a hotel where it wasn’t possible to watch BBC or Sky News so found it rather frustrating that we couldn’t keep up with events. Tea and coffee in Prague seem to be very different from what we have in UK. Tea bags are supplied in the room but they are weak and it is necessary to ask at reception for milk. We bought a bottle from a local shop and stored it in the fridge in the room. Coffee was never left in the room and upon request at reception was given some Nescafé sachets.
