My first stay at ryokan style hotel. This is only one place I tried, so have no chance to compare with other ryokan hotels. Overall it was dissapointmet. + New experience, rooms very spacious, you can have room with western style comfortable bed. Dinner served in room, japanese style it means nice serving of differnt mini portions, tasty selection of japan food. Very helpfull staff even english is very very limited at this hotel. Pick up service from train station, but need to call the reception. Hot spa, it means one inner and one outside sitting pool with hot water. Amenities included. Close to Kyoto by train. - Surrondings, there is not possible to walk around lake, abonded or love hotels around, except 7/11 no shops or food in proximity. No shower in room, only toilet. Round down hotel, even clean. Very expensive compared place, services.
