Very disappointing. This is a basic hotel about 1.5kms from the town and even further from the beautiful Playa Holbox. The beach near the hotel is still 2 blocks away and not particularly nice - there's construction rubbish all around the streets leading to the beach while the shoreline itself is ruined by big concrete sand barriers and tons of decomposing seaweed. The room itself is basic - bed was uncomfortable and there wasn't much room to move around. Breakfast was bread and coffee and the restaurant doesn't serve lunch or dinner. We walked the 3km round trip to town multiple times a day - along the beach is OK but the road isn't anything special - lots of construction and rubbish. You can get MUCH nicer accommodation closer to the beach.
