When I booked this budget hotel on Trivago (1st time user), the rate was great, $107. The website never mentioned the fact that the hotel was under major renovation. The lobby was a mess with construction going on next to the check-in desk. Although the crew had gone home for the night, it was very unsettling atmosphere. The room was clean and the beds were OK. the pillows were lousy and the AC/heating system gave us major problems. When we dropped the temp on the thermosat dwon to 69 degrees, the AC went on and wouldn't shut off. My wife had to put on a sweater to stay warm. I called the desk and he came up quickly but didn't know how to fix it. He said that the maintenance man was on the premises but never showed up. When I called to find out where he was, the front desk said there is nothing we can do to control the heat or AC. After threatening to leave the hotel at 10pm, we raised the temp to 72 and the stupid AC/heating system did manage to stay OFF thru the night. We'll stay away from Trivago (and Getaround) and stay away from budget hotels in the future.
