We stayed were staying until the 8th of Jan and were told the pool will under maintenance until the 3rd which was fine as we would head around the island on those initial days. The 5th afternoon came around with the pool no where near completion so we got transferred to then other Sheraton Beach resort by the airport which was nice. Some staff not up to speed with western culture so can be rude but they are generally nice. The walls and ceiling aren’t very sound proof from heavy feet and our neighbours above kept moving furniture from 7am to 10pm which kept us up from early to late. Mentioned on a few occasions with no change. Again, kudos to management for moving us to another room. The location is in the city but don’t expect to be able to swim in the beach. It is black. The best thing we did was move to the Beach Resort. it is further from attractions like the To Sua Ocean Trench or the Slidinf Rocks, but you only really need to go there once.
