Located at the junction of several creeks, Stroudsburg is a historic borough in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania. It is named after Colonel Jacob Stroud, who was responsible for the town’s design in the late 18th century. Many of Stroudsburg’s earliest residential buildings are preserved within the Academy Hill Historic District.
