In winter, go skiing at the iconic Steamboat Springs Resort. Enjoy plenty of high-elevation intermediate runs, including the trademark “Wally World”, or head off the trail and make your own path between the pines. You can also go horseback riding, cross-country skiing or on a hot-air balloon ride.
Relax your weary muscles in Strawberry Park Hot Springs, maintaining a year-round temperature of 40 degrees Celcius. You can warm up in one of many pools, enjoy the forest surroundings and embrace the sounds of a gently flowing waterfall.
Yampa River Botanic Park is a cool valley that sits at the foot of Mt Werner. Enjoy the sweet-smelling grape hyacinths in the Blue Garden, the Botanic Walk Garden with its cottonwood trees and the colourful displays at the Lily Garden.
