Stretching along the Atlantic Ocean, Seaside Heights belongs to the famous strip of beach communities known as the Jersey Shore. There’s nonstop action in Seaside Heights, from arcade games and vintage-style rides to waterparks, weekly fireworks shows, movies on the beach and lively amusement piers.
Things to do in Seaside Heights
Tourism in Seaside Heights centres on its busy boardwalk, home to two amusement piers, souvenir shops, ice-cream stands and old-fashioned arcades. You’ll also find modern video games and machines at Shake Shoppe Arcade. Grab a slice of pizza at walk-up eateries, such as The Sawmill, and splurge on a boardwalk specialty of fried Oreos.
Take the little ones to Breakwater Beach Waterpark for some splash-and-dash water fun and let older kids loose at Two If By Sea. Both waterparks have lazy rivers, wave pools and dozens of aquatic thrill rides. Climb to the roof of Casino Pier for a game of miniature golf, then hit the bottom level for go-kart racing.
Sandy beaches dot the Seaside Heights coast, where surfers can find spectacular waves on the northern end. There’s almost every type of water sport activity available here, from jet skiing to stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boats, parasailing and even water trampolines. Hop aboard the Sky Ride, where you’ll dangle over the beach in an open-air gondola.
Rent some crabbing or fishing gear to reel in your dinner or stroll one block west of the boardwalk to find sit-down eateries, such as Hemingway’s Café. No matter how old you are, don't miss The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Parlour, where your ice cream comes with a vaudeville-style cabaret show.
