Budding geologists should visit the Crater Rock Museum, which boasts one of the finest collections of rocks, minerals and gems on the West Coast. See 50-million-year-old fish fossils from the Green River Formation and step inside the darkened room to admire the glowing Fluorescent Mineral Display.

Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport is a 10-minute drive north of Medford and has connections to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Buses travel throughout Medford and the Bear Creek Greenway is a popular cycling route, while the downtown area can be explored on foot.
