Supa Ngwao Museum preserves Botswana’s heritage and sits in the heart of Francistown. The museum contains an array of exhibitions exploring the history and culture of the local Kalanga people and the gift shop boasts hand-made crafts.
Take a drive 30-minutes south of the city and you’ll find Tachila Nature Reserve, a recreational facility promotion environmental education. This vast green expanse is home to leopard, hyena, kudu and impala so keep your eyes peeled.
Culture vultures will delight at the ruins at Domboshaba. This Iron Age Stone Wall site dates back to 1450 AD and is the perfect way to see Francistown of yesteryear.
