About East Los Angeles

Previously known as Belvedere Gardens, East Los Angeles is home to a largely Latino community in one of Los Angeles’ oldest neighbourhoods. Getting around East Los Angeles

Los Angeles International Airport is the main gateway to the city and around 40 minutes’ drive from East Los Angeles while the Downtown area is 15 minutes away. Several bus routes travel throughout the neighbourhood and connect to surrounding suburbs. The Montebello/Commerce train station lies on the district’s south-east corner and Cal State LA station is north.
