The U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame pays tribute to legends like Buzz Aldrin.
Time your visit and you could be lucky enough to view a rocket blast off from the Kennedy Space Centre. Playalinda Beach offers some of the best views of rocket launches. You can also snag front row seats at the Banana Creek Launch Viewing Area.
Head down to Jetty Park to relax on the sand, swim in the crystal-clear water and watch cruise ships and cargo vessels sail into the harbour. Kayaks, paddleboards and other water sports equipment are available to rent from local vendors. Lifeguards patrol the beach and make Jetty Park popular with families.
The beaches south of the port are protected habitats for seabirds, turtles and other marine life. The Canaveral National Seashore protects a unique habitat of grass-covered dunes, sheltered lagoons and coastal forests. The Castle Windy Trail winds through the park and takes you to the scenic Mosquito Lagoon.
