Abidjan is a lively city located on the southern coast of Cote d’Ivoire, nestled between lagoons and waterways and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Impressive skyscrapers, a budding nightlife and a tropical atmosphere are just some of the reasons to visit this West Africa city.
Things to do in Abidjan
Kids will love a trip to Abidjan Zoo, home to over 200 animals and 29 different species. Banco National Park is considered Abidjan's green lung, with forested oases following winding jungle paths. For a peaceful moment of reflection, head to the Bingerville Botanical Gardens which is dotted with bamboo trees and features a picnic area.
To sample some of West Africa’s local nightlife, head to the Bushmans Café to find a wide array of cultural events. It boasts great views of the city, making it a good spot to enjoy a passion fruit cocktail or dance to the beat of live music.
