| Good Long Staying Package. 40 min from the Airport.
Pool is nice. Hotel is worn out. Rooms are big.
The new wing is not worth of the money. |

| Hotel staff had to deal with unusual situation with guests sitting out a typhoon during their stay. They were very helpful and calm during the storm. Renovations happening in one wing and could be good idea if it happens throughout as decor is a bit tired looking, but clean. |

| Perfect location -- on a beach on Lantau Island, just a half hour's ferry from the stinkiness of Hong Kong --- for a great price. The service here was far better than anytwhere else we stayed on our round the world trip and while the rooms weren't the smartest we'd stayed in they were perfectly fine (nice and large, with all the bits you expect) while the breakfast really good. Can't recommend it too highly! |

| Drive from airport was longer than expected with winding roads through mountain but we enjoyed the slow pace and picturesque view around hotel b; furthermore, there was a feeling of being in mainland China which appeals to our missionary calling. We also enjoyed the tennis court and swimming pool and quick access to the Hong Kong island via ferry. |

| Friendly staff. Pretty location. Breakfast buffet could use a little more variety (but we were there for nine days so we may just have gotten bored)but it was good. Nice views. |

| Currently being remodeled, but still a long long long way to go before it's worth the price. The town of Mui Wo and places like China Beach Club makes up for what the Silvermine Bay Resort lacks. |

| Staff here were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were modest but clean. The resort is ideally located near the ferry terminal for easy travel to Hong Kong central. We will definitely be back! |

| Bed was comfortable with nice pillows. Located right by the beach and included a nice breakfast. Room was large and comfortable. Only downside was hotel smelled musty and the was no wifi internet available for free. |

| The hotel says it offers a free bed for a child under 12 years. We requested a bed online, and then again asked for one on arrival to the hotel. We never received one. The hotel appears close to the airport but actually took us about 45 minutes in a taxi. There is a bus you can catch near the hotel. The hotel is basic, has no lifts and the decor is very dated but the rooms are comfortable enough. Breakfast is very good. |

| if you like the more rural side to hong kong yet still easy and inexpensive access to central and the airport, this is a great choice.rooms are o.k. in size and facilities though perhaps ready for a bit of refurbishment soon-not a big issue though.the location by the beach in a nice little town with adequate facilities and great scenery and hiking right on the doorstep are what makes it,together with friendly and helpful staff.i'll be going back. |

| An extremely friendly and charming hotel, away from the crowds of Hong Kong island, but with close ferry services. Admittedly arriving at the back of the hotel at night is depressing. The daylight brings wonderful beach and sea views and superb serve yourself breakfast with such friendly staff. Slightly old fashioned in the very best sense of the phrase. |

| I found the Silvermine Beach Hotel Hong Kong despite its need of refurbishment and modernisation, an absolute gem of a place to stay in. All of the staff were both friendly and extremely helpful to both myself and my new wife, especially the general manager "Taddy", who always on duty proved to value his customers very much indeed. The hotel is in a wonderful peaceful and beautiful location, just 2 minutes walk from the star ferry terminal straight into Hong Kong harbour central pier. Please consider staying at this wonderful little hotel, and ignore your first impressions upon arrival there, you will not be disappointed at your choice of hotel if you decide to stay there. A short walk from the hotel brings you to many cheap and reasonably priced good outdoor restaurants serving traditional seafood and Chinese fare. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful location to stay in, or a reasonably priced hotel to fully enjoy. |

| This is hotel is much further away from the International Airport than I anticipated. Hotel is decent, food was to my taste, bland. service was good, their understanding of english was comforting. I didnt have time to check out their facilities but the Silvermine Beach Hotel Hong Kong over-all was as good as their stars appointed to them. Would recommend for those who are on a budget. |
