Elevator from parking garage to lobby was dirty, carpet in the elevator was dirty. Guy that checked me in was nice and fast and I liked that very much. Room was clean. Internet should be free! Come on! Especially in Vegas when you're already feeling like you're going to get ripped off.

My boyfriend and I went to the Renaissance Hotel in August 2008. The hotel is not walking distance to the strip, but it is close to a monorail stop (it's across the street at the Convention Center). I recommend taking a cab which is about $12-$15 to the strip or Freemont St. because you still end up walking A LOT with the monorail. The hotel is nice and quiet (probably because it doesn't have a casino). The pool was fine but it's probably not ideal for sunbathing since it is located in the center of the hotel and is sometime in the shade. Anyway, this is a perfect place to go to get away from the Las Vegas lights and sounds.

I had to talk to front desk about coffee mugs that were used and simply wiped out with a towel and then put back on coffee service tray as clean. (There is a Starbuck's downstairs in the hotel so if you really want that morning cup of joe head downstairs.) Hotel's internet description says rooms have a refrigerator. When my food was spoiled and I called to have someone check my refrigerator I was told that it wasn't really a refrigerator, it is a "cooler." The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a separate tub and shower.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The food at Envy was very good. The walk to the monorail was okay and allowed access to a variety of areas of interest. The decor was modern and the amenities were sufficient and very clean. I would stay there again.

The Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas is located very close to the monorail station. It was very convenient and everything was so clean and nice. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from two night stay at the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas. We booked the Romance Package at no extra charge through online travel website which included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries that were delivered within 10 minutes of our arrival. Breakfast vouchers for up to $18.00 each were also part of this package for both mornings we were there and the breakfast was excellent. This hotel was immaculate from the lobby to the room. Very friendly efficient and attentive staff who really want to please you. Did not use the fitness facility but it appeared to be more than adequate. Pool and spa area looked inviting but the weather prohibited its use. This is an entirely smoke free environment even in the hotel bar. The tram is conveniently located across a parking lot about 200 yards away. We did not have dinner at the ENVY restaurant but I was impressed with their extensive selection of fine wines. If you don't care about staying right on the strip, this is a convenient, quiet non-gaming hotel. We will definately stay there again.

When I first got to the Renaissance Hotel the staff was fast and efficient in getting me checked in and they were also very friendly. I told the gentleman that was at reception that I needed a row away bed. I thought that he put the request in for me but I guess he didn't because when we got back into the room there wasn't one there. We called the reception desk and discovered that they ran out of them, but they offered extra blankets instead. Overall the stay was great, friendly service and very clean I would stay here again.

I decided to accompany a friend for their first time in Vegas. The rep told me the hotel was close to the strip. Not at all. Front desk staff was friendly. Concierge was helpful. The golf course at the Wynn plus ongoing construction makes the location and accessibility to some of the area attractions impossible. There are several apartment complexes near the hotel. The people who live there are very suspicious looking, I would not walk at night unless you have a death wish. The room was small and the view was looking at the parking garage. They were suppose to replace the water in the mini fridge every day and that did not happen. Our fridge did not work properly. Also to make matters worse, toilet stopped working on the second day of the visit. After boasting of Vegas to my friend, I was very embarrassed to have chosen the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas. I will not recommend it to anyone to stay at unless they were attending a convention. Yes the tram and convention center is across the street but like I mentioned before not very safe to walk to them.

Unfortunately we didn't know there was an anime convention going on labor day weekend and the hotel was packed with rude teens. They were all over the hotel pool (I'm not sure why the hotel let them in when they weren't guests). They were diving in a 3.5ft pool and making out everywhere! The hotel really should of done something about it! Or maybe they should of never agreed to hosting such an event. Other than that buzz kill, the rooms were very clean and the staff was super nice. The bar in the lobby was great too, good drinks and free snacks. The pool could be bigger though.

Our stay at the Rennaissance met or exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the modern, elegant design (refreshingly not over the top) and the fact that everything worked. Upon checkin at about 10pm we were offered an upgrade, even though they had overbooked for the night. We took it and it was worth every penny of the extra ~$* /night to have a room on a high floor with great view of LasV. and access to the breakfast buffet /snack lounge on the top floor. The monorail stop is really convenient (get the full day pass), and the hotel offers a stylish, but more tranquil retreat from the hubbub of the casinos. Downside - the "acclaimed" Envy Restaurant. a) it was OK but nothing great for folks used to dining in San Francisco and Milan; b) overpriced and c) you didn't get the 20%-OFF coupont till you had stayed there one night (attached to you a.m. newspaper), so dining there the first night was a mistake. A small flaw in an otherwise excellent experience. PK and GZ

From the moment I walked through the front doors, I was greeted by a friendly and courteous staff. They were helpful and professional with readily available information for any questions I had. Although I did not explore or utilize a large portion of the hotel's amenities, the room itself was nice and clean and the bathroom had a nice design with a separate shower and tub. I would have preferred to have a lock on the bathroom's pocket door, and a ventilation fan as well. The bed was comfortable and the abundance of pillows made my evenings very restful. The non-casino, non-smoking atmosphere was a nice refuge from the glitz, glamour, and noise of Las Vegas. Best of all, it was right next to a monorail station so getting to the strip couldn't have been easier. Overall, this is one of the nicest hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. It's just too bad my vacation was over so quickly, I would have liked to explore more of the services that the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel had to offer. A word of caution, however, you might do well to call ahead to see what conventions are planned for your vacation dates. My vacation plans were right in the middle of an anime convention, and the lobby was continually filled with adolescents in costume!

The room was gorgeous, the view great, especially as the sun set. The furniture was beautiful, don't get me started on the bed, FABULOUS. The pool is very small, unfortunately there were kids in the pool who were excessively loud, and you get very little time for sun. All in all, one of the best birthdays ever!! I would say R and I had a great trip!

I enjoy the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas. It's right off the strip and has a very youthful, modern feel. The hotel is well decorated and has a calming effect on you when you arrive. It's one of the strip's best kept secrets.

The Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas was great. The staff was friendly, the location was right next to the monorail, and if you have tickets for a show at the Wynn Hotel, they have a free shuttle pick up at the monorail station. There isn't anything negitive I can say about this hotel. The bedding was great, the comp breakfast offered was nice. One thing I will mention, if you like to sun bath, the pool looks to have only limited sun during the day. I would diffently stay at this hotel again. J

The hotel deserved it's 4 stars, and even thought it's not right on Vegas Blvd., it's only a short taxi ride to the main strip.

We had a bit of a girls getaway and stayed in a fabulous room - very nice modern decor, felt like I was watching HGTV or some classy design show. Very comfy clean with lots of extras. We had access to a little lounge area that provided free drinks such as sodas throughout the day as well as hours of breakfast bites, hor'doveurs, and desserts which was a great plus. We didn't want to rent a car so we used the railways which is right next to the hotel, short 5 minute walk to get up to the loading area, otherwise we just grab cabs cause it was close to all. We enjoyed lounging at the pool area; they had relaxing extra cushioned chaizes in bright colors that kept us there for hours just chitter chatting. No complaints at all, concierge desk was super friendly and helpful at helping us get around. Would definitely stay there again when I make it out that way!!
