Lykia World has a capacity of 2400 beds with 874 rooms in total all with modern standards. The Residence section is a club hotel with 265 spacious rooms. Rooms designed on modern standards have a balcony or terrace and amenities including AC during summer and heating during winter months. It is ideal for singles or couples who prefer the luxury of a club hotel. The Village section is a holiday village with 609 Mediterranean style rooms ideal for families. Rooms are newly refurbished for comfort with a relaxed atmosphere. Lykia World is a Full Board Resort. Ten restaurants with non-smoking and children free sections comprising 3 main restaurants featuring daily theme buffets; 2 childrens restaurants and 5 specialty restaurants. A small surcharge applies to the specialty restaurants. Lykia World has 14 bars providing variety and ability to serve you the best drinks and exotic cocktails. Lykia World opens the door of a real aqua paradise for you including 2 indoor pools and 8 heated pools.19 swimming pools in total. Covering 22.000sqm the Childrens Paradise provides a wide range of safe and supervised activities for children. Adventure and water landscape with 20 water slides and 8 pools. The sport activities that are included in the Full Board price include 17 tennis courts. Additional information; A baby cot can be placed in the rooms at no extra charge for children under the age of 2. Children age 2-16 receive a 75 pct discount in the Village Rooms and a 50 pct discount in the Residence Rooms.

| We were overcharged $2000+ by Priceline and Lykia World for our 6 days stay at this resort.
In our opinion, they charge whatever they think they can get away with and not the value for this kind of facility. This is not more than 2 star facility.
We dealt with trust and made the booking and paid in advance. We asked numerous questions by e-mails which were not replied. We traveled to Lykia World, only to find we were assigned village rooms not fit for a two star facility. If our e-mails were replied to and our phone calls were answered prior to departure, we would have gone elsewhere.
When we arrived and noted the conditions, there were inadequate explanation and effort by the resort management to upgrade rooms to our satisfaction, e.g. switch to the Residence room, etc. They had no idea of the rates we paid and did not want to contradict unreasonable rates.
If this is a four or five star facility (as shown), you expected a class of service and certain type of room, e.g. sea view, easy access, etc. While all these features may be available in the Residence rooms, village rooms did not meet our expectations and commensurate with the rate we paid.
Following points is a list of issues:
1. This is not a 4 or 5 star facility. It is overrated. This facility does not deserve the awards mentioned.
2. We were overcharged with respect to room assigned and service provided in them (no amenities).
3. It is deceiving to the consumer that “full board” should NOT mean substantial surcharge for a la carte restaurants, as we paid.
4. Rates charged in the cafes and bars for simple coffee or drink is unreasonably high.
5. Food poisoning incidences are too frequent as reported by nearby LeToonia private hospital.
6. Due to negligence of the resort management to leave signs to caution wet floor; slip, fall and hurt incidence resulting in doctor and hospital referral and visit during vacation was poorly handled. Resort management lied about the facts. They would not even pay for taxi fare to go to the hospital.
7. We felt we are in Russia rather than hospitable Turkey as the management is Russian. |
